Our Story

Our family has lived and vacationed in the Outer Banks of North Carolina for more than 75 years.  Our dream was to allow others to share our passion and love for this beautiful barrier island.  We created OBX Popcorn to bring together two of our favorite things – delicious caramel popcorn and the beaches of North Carolina: Kitty Hawk, Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills, Southern Shores, Duck, and Corolla.  We are excited to bring you smiles and sweet memories of one of our favorite places on earth. 

We began handcrafting our gourmet popcorn in 2010, selling it online and in specialty retail locations throughout the Outer Banks.  Our artisan recipes are made in small batches.  Our carefully selected blend of popcorn is popped with a hot air popper that keeps oils and fats out of the popping process.  Our caramel is made from scratch in copper kettles and the large round kernels are then coated to perfection.  Warning….OBX Popcorn may be addictive.
